In wound and access-site care, dressing choice can influence infection and complication rates that complicate recovery and add to clinical workload.
Unlike most silver dressings on the market, Silverlon® uses pure silver plated onto a nylon substrate, which releases silver ions (not particles) when activated by moisture. This avoids the particle-release mechanism associated with some silver-coated or silver-impregnated dressings, where silver accumulation may raise local or systemic safety concerns.
The Silverlon® range features solutions for a variety of wound management applications, such as:

IV/catheter dressings for vascular and percutaneous access sites, including peripheral IVs, central venous lines, arterial and dialysis catheters, drainage tubes and epidural catheter sites.
